Where possible, out of peak season we offer a late check out – please enquire on booking if this is possible and we will do our best to accommodate.

We also provide the option of dinner with a recipe box selection. Please enquire to find out what we can supply.

Mini breaks

Bookings are usually taken in blocks of one week beginning on a Friday. However, we also provide bookings for long weekends (Friday-Monday) and short breaks (Monday-Friday). There is the possibility for shorter stays outside of the peak season.

Keeping things local

We pride ourselves on using fresh, locally sourced produced from suppliers local to us.

All eggs, biscuits, crisps, snacks, meat and wine are sourced from local suppliers. For your reference we have compiled a list of suppliers should you wish to find out more about each company:

Black Dog Free Range Eggs

Two miles from the Holiday cottages on the family run farm Black Dog Eggs supply a large number of Michelin star restaurants and luxury hotels. Eggs are collected by hand daily and they have recently come third in the national free range egg competition.

Willies Chocolate

Willie Harcourt-Cooze an artisan chocolate expert is the only British chocolate expert who imports and roasts his own raw cacao beans from his award winning factory in Cullumpton.

Waterhouse Fayre

Ann and Neil Stallard handcraft their award winning jams and preserves in Tiverton. Their jams are crafted using open preserve pans in small batches for maximum flavour and quality.

Miles Tea

Blending tea since 1888 in Porlock in Devonlooking out at boats on the water at Porlock Weir, a high number of their products have won A Taste of Devon awards.

Little Emlett Orchard

Little Emlett Orchard a mile and a half from the holiday cottages is a small family run business producing the finest apple juice made from Westcountry apples and heritage apples. Juices are 100% apple juice with nothing else added.

Pebblebed

Pebblebed started as a community project and produces sparkling and still wines, having won a number of medals and awards. Their sparkling wines are now widely recognised as some of the best in the World and among the best in England.

Burts Crisps

Hand fried potato chips made in Devon with only natural ingredients and specially selected potatoes.

The Cracking Nuts

Hand roasted in Devon, they have all natural snacks for a healthy delectable nibble.

Exmoor Coffee

The best ethically sourced coffee from around the world, blended to tell the stories of Exmoor and the history in which it is steeped. All coffees are hand roasted locally and are plastic free.

West Middlewick Farm

Less than a mile from the Holiday Cottages we are lucky to have our local farmshop, regularly visited by our guests. We source many products from here, including their own free range farm produced milk and milkshakes.
